Edinburgh
Few cities provide a backdrop quite like Edinburgh. With its medieval Old Town, imposing castle, and historic Royal Mile, Scotland’s capital is packed with character and plenty of hills.
Thankfully, the Edinburgh Marathon Festival Half Marathon itself is considerably kinder to the legs, with a famously flat and fast course that begins in the city centre before heading towards the coast and finishing in Musselburgh.
The route takes runners past some of Edinburgh’s best-known sights, including Greyfriars, St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street Gardens, and Holyrood Palace, before opening out towards Portobello and East Lothian.
It’s a proper sightseeing tour, only with considerably more sweating involved. For Lawyer on the Run, it is another chance to turn 13.1 miles into meaningful fundraising. Whether you run, donate, or cheer us on, we’d love you to be part of the journey.
