I’m often referred to as the ‘old man’ of the team, although Jack insists that age is just a number, and I’m starting to believe him. In March 2025, I began training with Jack after struggling with knee problems and walking with a stick. Since then, I’ve gone on to run marathons and complete treks across the world.

I firmly believe there is no better feeling than supporting good causes and helping people less fortunate than yourself. That belief sits at the heart of Lawyer on the Run – like-minded people pulling in the same direction and helping others, one step at a time.

There’s a lot going on, and plenty more planned. But this is about what comes next and how you can play your part, whether by donating, joining an event, or creating your own challenge with our support.

The world can feel heavy at times. But family, friends, and random acts of kindness, big or small, still matter. Everything we do affects someone. Let’s do something amazing together!

Jack Skeats

Hello, I’m Jack. I’m a personal trainer who’s been helping David get fighting fit for the challenges he’s taken on, while also dreaming up as many creative ways as possible to raise funds for great causes.

My own fitness journey has been life-changing. I went from being overweight, underconfident, and struggling with depression, to finding purpose through training and helping others transform their lives.

From supporting people to lose life-changing amounts of weight, to helping David go from relying on a walking stick to running seven marathons across seven countries, fitness has been the catalyst. Fitness changes lives, and we’re here to show just how powerful that can be.

Charlotte Browning

My name is Charlotte, and I wouldn’t describe myself as a naturally fit person, but I’m determined to change that. I currently go to the gym twice a week and am learning to run for the very first time. This year, I’ve signed up for my first Great North Run, raising money for St Oswald’s Hospice.

Last year, I completed a 13-mile trek for Macmillan alongside my colleagues, which marked the start of my fundraising and fitness journey. I’m inspired by David, who balances a demanding career while taking on incredible endurance challenges across Europe.

Every challenge supports an amazing cause, and I’ll be there every step of the way offering encouragement, support, and motivation throughout each adventure.
