The Edinburgh Marathon holds a special place in David’s fundraising history as his first, and so far only, full marathon.
It was a true test of endurance, not just because of the distance, but because of the famously unpredictable Scottish weather. Over the course of the race, runners experienced sunshine, rain, strong winds, and even snow.
Despite the tough conditions, the marathon was embraced rather than endured. It proved that even the hardest challenges can be deeply rewarding when undertaken for the right reasons. The Edinburgh Marathon was a milestone moment: physically demanding, emotionally uplifting, and a powerful demonstration of resilience in pursuit of charitable impact.
